Zeolite for Walking Paths

Walking paths are used extensively every day, so traction control is much more essential to maintain on sidewalks in winters. Zeolite for walking trails is very beneficial. It absorbs water immediately and provides instant traction control all winter season. Also, the color difference of mineral from ice helps people to recognize zeolite treated areas as safe to walk on.

An experiment was performed to find out Zeolites' structural integrity in changing conditions like hydrating and dehydration, which are very common in freezing and melting cycles of ice. In November, the month of extreme freezing temperature, Zeolite was added to an ice block in a container; zeolite absorbed the ice all way to the bottom. When the ice block was inverted, zeolite repeated the same pattern. This process was repeated for almost a month. Each time the researchers got the same results.

This shows that Zeolite is capable of tolerating the hydrating and dehydration cycles as in freezing and thaw cycles of ice. The structure remained intact, and no degradation was reported. This proved that Zeolite for walking paths is successful in managing ice and traction.

Zeolite is non-toxic, so it can be spread over lawns and gardens to remove ice and can be collected for reuse in future winters.
